truTV is returning to the NYTVF for the second annual truTV Comedy Breakout Initiative!
The network is looking for Talent/Creator-Driven Comedy Formats with Distinct POVs and High Production Quality. This competition is built to provide indie TV creators with a unique opportunity to create new, comedy-centric formats and unscripted/reality series for the network.
The winning creator(s) gets a shot to further hone their idea (with a budget of up to $25,000) in conjunction with truTV's development team.
To qualify, you need to submit the following:
(1) A series overview (up to four pages)
(2) A current C.V.
(3) A project proof of concept in the form of one (1) of the following: (a) a produced comedy pilot and/or series (up to 20 minutes), (b) a produced “in progress” work (minimum four minutes), OR (c) a paper-developed format (up to eight pages)
